IMI Global's USDA Process Verified Program is currently training, evaluating and approving producers for AGE and SOURCE Verification claims. Cattle verified for AGE and SOURCE meet both domestic program and Export Verification (EV) program requirements. This specifically addresses Japan's requirements for cattle to verified as 20 months of age or less, and other countries requiring "born and raised in the US". Cattle that are SOURCE verified will also meet the Country of Origin (COOL) labeling requirements for retail establishments. Cattle SOURCE verified in the US, are "born and raised" in the United States of America". Cattle SOURCE verified in Canada or Mexico, are "born and raised in Canada" or "Mexico"--thus meeting the proposed requirements of COOL.

IMI Global's USDA Process Verified Program is currently training, evaluating and approving producers for NON-HORMONE TREATED CATTLE (NHTC) Verification status.  Cattle verified for NHTC meet the requirements of the European Union (EU) and their Export Verification (EV) program requirements.  Cattle verified for this program have not received any hormonal growth promotants their entire life.
